Have any of you been to Moulton Farms in Meredith, NH? I just had the best pie I have ever eaten from there!! We had their peach pie and both Jim and I were so impressed! The crust was perfectly cooked, buttery and flakey. The filling was sweet, but not too sweet. The peaches were evenly cooked through with plenty of filling! The entire pie was eaten in less than 24 hours! It truly was the best pie either one of us have ever had. That says a lot as Jim is a huge pie guy!!
They have lots of pies to pick from apple, apple crumb and get this, a country apple pie with a maple infused crust…..WHAT? An infused crust? I will be making a trip just for that pie!! But if for some strange reason you don’t like apple pie, they have berry pies, French silk, pecan, and pumpkin to just name a few!! But that’s not all, they have breads, rolls and gluten free options too!!
Do you have your Christmas tree yet? Guess what? You can get that there too, along with kissing balls, Christmas plants and all of your holiday greenery. WAIT! That’s not all! Have you heard of Cider Bellies Cider Donuts that were recently voted best cider Donuts in NH? Well guess what? Those donuts are made fresh on site at Moulton Farm Thursday through Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00 pm!!
Moulton Farm is located at 18 Quarry Rd. in Meredith, NH They do have a website that I would suggest taking a look at as the holiday hours do change just a little. They are open 7 days a week from 8am to 5:30 pm, but please check the holiday hours!
If you are looking for some holiday goodies this Moulton Farm will not disappoint!!
Enjoy!
For everyone in the Dover New Hampshire area, you have probably noticed that the old Tuttle’s Red Barn was sold to Tendercrop Farm and has been open for a few months now. (Tendercrop also has a store and farm in Massachusetts). I loved Tuttle’s and would always make regular visits there. Although it was sad to see Tuttle’s leave, I am equally as happy to have Tendercrop take over the property!
Tendercrop has the most gorgeous fruits and vegetables along with a bakery section and a small gift area. The frozen meals section has their own pot pies…which by the way are delicious! They also have some ready made take home dishes like the chicken cordon blue served over an Alfredo pasta and meatballs in marinara sauce.
The butcher and deli shop is just amazing! They make their own blueberry breakfast sausages. They also have some incredible bacon and ham, and do I dare say, a large variety of marinated chicken on the deli side. We bought some of their own HOT Soprissata and some Brookford raw cheddar cheese.
Everything we tried was very good. We did have to season the cordon blue with salt and pepper, but everything else was just right!
You can find the Dover location at 123 Dover Point road in Dover, N.H.
You will really enjoy Tendercrop…take some time to check it out!
